Google I/O Pre-Show
Technical Design
Technical Integration
AV Concepts collaborated with Google to completely transform their keynote room for Google I/O, their annual developer conference, by immersing attendees in a scenic design of 540-ft of curved projection surface.
A surface of this size required 46-30K Barco projectors, 23 streams of front projection, and three main media servers that needed to be designed and engineered to optimize the workflow between render stations that fed into the media servers. Customized graphic workstations were also designed to process the massive amount of bandwidth to minimize any video flaws.
This surface allowed for a wide range of engaging audience experiences. One of which was a live tournament of Pong where we engineered the technical requirements to create the massive audience controlled Pong game – including the build of custom designed game control kiosks.
The festival-like pre-show experience helped build excitement and momentum leading into the show open. Through flawless technical execution, we helped carry that pre-show energy throughout the general session, supporting speaker presentations that visually captivated attendees.
